My attorney status

I transferred to “inactive” status with the Colorado Supreme Court Attorney Registration Office earlier this year because of my retirement. I recently learned that this affects my ability to communicate confidentially with imprisoned writers; so I am returning to active status. I filed the change form today, but it may take a few days to become effective. After this I can receive attorney mail at Lawrence P Griffin #12994, 2519 S. Shields St. 1K #507, Fort Collins CO 80526–my practice will be limited to discussing and advising prison writers about the business and legalities of writing from prison.

I am a retired Colorado attorney now living in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. My main activities are improving my Spanish, finishing my novel Baja Wyoming and working with my imprisoned writer friends on our Prison Writers Support Organization.
